The Minister for Education has agreed to meet with local parents of children with special needs when she visits Monaghan today. Norma Foley is in Monaghan Town to attend an event at St Louis Convent celebrating and empowering women.
Her party colleague, Senator Robbie Gallagher, arranged for two parents who have been lobbying the Education Minister for some months for services and a school for special needs children in the county, to meet her one-to-one.
Others from the campaign group, Monaghan Needs Services, will form peaceful demonstration at the school to highlight their plight to the Minister with responsibility for special education when she visits Monaghan.
