Eamon Ryan calls on public bodies to scale back on Christmas lights

The Environment Minister Eamon Ryan is calling on public bodies to scale back on festive lights this year.

The Irish Mail on Sunday reports the Green leader urged local authorities and trading groups to reduce Christmas lights usage, in a bid to save energy.

In Dublin, it has already been agreed that festive lights will be switched on later and turned off earlier this year.
