Two major regeneration projects in Cavan and Monaghan have received additional funding of almost €940,000.
Local Minister Heather Humphreys confirmed to Northern Sound News that almost €729,000 has been approved for the Ballyjamesduff Community and Enterprise Hub in Cavan.
Meanwhile, some €209,000 has also been allocated by the Ministerfor the Blackwater Valley Rural Enterprise and Digital Hub in Knockconan in Monaghan.
Speaking to the Wider View the social protection minister said both projects are designed to significantly rejuvenate the towns and are being funded under the Rural Regeneration and Development programme..
Minister Humphreys says this funding announcement is a part of an overall investment of €10.5 million in both locations.
She says the Ballyjamesduff location has been created due to repurposing of the former Percy French hotel in the town.
