Over half a million in funding has been announced for adventure tourism projects across the Northern Sound region.
In Cavan, over €323,000 will go towards improving access to the 12km Killykeen way, a cycle and walking track linking the forest park with Killeshandra.
Hollywood park in north Monaghan will see over €276,000 spent on enhancements, including the provision of a new freshwater bathing site.
Another €500,000 will be spent on improving safety and accessibility at angling locations across four counties, including Leitrim and Galway.
Today's funding was announced by Cavan-Monaghan TD and Minister for Rural and Community Development Heather Humphreys.
