€3m worth of drugs seized in Dublin Airport in 10 days

€3.1 million euro worth of cocaine and cannabis has been seized, while eight people were arrested.

There's been a significant increase in drugs being seized at Dublin Airport. €3 million euro worth of substances have been found in the lat 10 days alone.

Between Wednesday last week and Sunday, there were seven incidents uncovered of drugs being imported into Dublin Airport by people getting off flights. €3.1 million euro worth of cocaine and cannabis has been seized, while eight people were arrested.

It comes as Revenue confirms its seized €45 million worth of drugs in August alone - with close to 170 million euro worth of substances found in the first 8 months of the year. That's more than double the figure for the same time last year.
