The recent announcement of the 2024 Community Monuments Fund, provides €32,558.10 to safeguard and enhance local monuments.
That's according to a local Fine Gael Local Election Candidate in Monaghan. The funding announced is for Errigal Truagh and Tydavnet graveyard.
Pauric Clerkin says this funding initiative supports a wide range of conservation projects, highlighting government commitment to preserving Ireland's rich archaeological heritage.

Mr Clerkin said the allocation of over €32,000 from the Community Monuments Fund will directly contribute to the conservation, maintenance, protection, and promotion of our cherished local monuments.
