A lottery prize of over €1 million went unclaimed at the weekend as someone in Co Monaghan failed to turn up with their winning ticket. They missed out on the chance to become a millionaire. The deadline for claiming the Lotto Plus Raffle prize of €1,000,500 passed Friday evening without anyone showing up with the ticket that had been bought in Emyvale on August 17.
The National Lottery have announced that it's putting the €1 million back up for grabs in a guaranteed-to-be-won raffle on December 23rd. The life changing prize will be added to the Lotto Plus Raffle on that date. The game usually sees between 60 and 120 players win €500 each in every draw. However, one of those winners will receive an extra €1 million just in time for Christmas Day.
