A funding injection of €14m has been announced for Kingscourt town centre. A new library, car parking facilities and remote working hub are just some of the numerous initiatives that are now planned for the historic Co Cavan town.
Cllr Clifford Kelly says the announcement was forty years in the making - but one that has been worth waiting for. Speaking to Northern Sound, he highlighted how attractive Kingscourt will become in the months and years ahead.
Cllr Kelly added that the local railway line will also be opened up and joined with the Greenway to create a brand new amenity. "Cavan County Council has purchased Old Northern Bank and the Bank of Ireland in Kingscourt. The old Northern Bank will become a massive new library in Kingscourt and it will become one of the finest libraries in the county," he said.
