Over €1 million has been awarded to two regeneration projects in the Northern Sound region.
The Rural Regeneration and Development funding will benefit projects in Castleblayney and Kingscourt.
€295,000 has also been awarded for the second phase of the regeneration of the Market Square in Castleblayney.
The funding will be used to prepare plans to complete the restoration of the Market House.

Meanwhile, €787,500 has been awarded to Kingscourt, which will be used to develop a car park and public realms works.
Kingscourt councillor Clifford Kelly said it’ll be a great benefit and he hopes to build upon this funding in the future:
