More than 850 post offices are now open nationwide, following storm-related closures. An Post says details of offices where customers can collect DSP payments are listed at 'anpost.com'.
The post office in Mountnugent remains closed due to a power outage and An Post says they are working on identifying the alternative location for DSP payment collections there. The same applies to Latton Post Office, which is also closed because of lack of power.
While the post offices in Mullagh and Stradone are open, An Post says there may be possible delays to some DSP payments at those locations. Payments due this week are ready for collection in most post offices nationwide - along with payments which were due last Friday. Letter and Parcel deliveries and collections are mostly back to normal - except in some areas where roads remain blocked
