A motorist was arrested for drunk driving in Cavan Town on Saturday night. The vehicle was stopped by members of the Cavan Roads Policing Unit. According to Gardaí, the driver failed a roadside alcohol test and was arrested and processed and found to be over the legal limit. The car had no NCT and was detained under section 41 RTA.
Another motorist was also stopped and arrested by Gardaí from Cavan Station and was also over the legal limit. Gardaí in Cavan are reminding motorists to never drive while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
