Drumlin Parks Wind Farm has been granted a ten year planning permission for the development of eight wind turbines in Monaghan.
Each turbine will have a maximum tip height of 180 metres.
The eight wind turbines will be constructed at locations between Scotshouse, Newbliss and Doohat in Monaghan.
The development also requires permanent upgrade works to local and regional roads in the townlands of Rakean, Lismagonway, Aghadrumkeen
11 site entrances and underground electricity and communications cabling are also required for the project, as well as a meteorological mast of up to 100 metres.
The development will have a 30-year operational life from the date of commissioning.
Drumlim Parks Wind Farm say the project will be capable of providing green energy to up to 32,000 households and works are expected to begin in quarter one of 2025.
