A quantity of cocaine and cannabis were recently seized by Gardaí in Co Monaghan. The drugs were discovered after local Gardaí, assisted by members from the Detective Branch, Armed Support Unit and the Dog Unit, searched a premises under warrant.
According to Gardaí, a male in his early 30's was arrested at the scene in relation to a recent burglary also. He was detained and questioned at Monaghan Garda Station and was subsequently charged with offences under the Theft and Fraud Offences Act.
Investigations are ongoing at this time.
