The number of people on the live register has fallen in both Cavan and Monaghan.
The latest CSO figures reveal that 3,166 people were on the live register in Cavan last month - that's 159 fewer than September's figure of 3,325.
It's also the lowest figure since February, when 3,076 people were on the live register.

Monaghan's unemployment total also decreased in the month of October, with 2,383 people on the live register. That's a reduction of 49 from September's figure of 2,432.
It's also the lowest number since March, when 2,375 people were on the live register.
