Motorists have been urged to slow down when driving through Clones town.

Sinn Fein Councillor Pat Treanor said he’s received a number of complaints from residents in the Roslea Road and McCurtain Street areas.

He says many parents in particular are anxious about the speed of traffic and the danger it poses to children.

He says despite the installation of flashing speed signs and extra signage, drivers are still continuing to speed.

A review is currently being carried out to collect traffic count and speed data, which will be used to determine the best way to slow cars and lorry down.

Pat Treanor says the only solutions are traffic calming measures or more careful drivers:
