Driver faces court following Gardaí detection in Cavan

A driver who was detected by Cavan Garda Roads Policing Unit to be driving without insurance, tax or a valid NCT certificate is now facing court.

Officers stopped the vehicle while conducting a checkpoint in the Ballyconnell area over the weekend when checks revealed the driver was not insured, and the tax and certificate of roadworthiness had expired. Although the driver turned the vehicle away from the checkpoint, gardaí intercepted it. The jeep is now off the road and a court case is pending.
