Driver arrested following roadside drug test

Cavan Roads Policing Unit received an ANPR  alert indicating a car without insurance in the Ballinagh area yesterday.  When the car was stopped it was discovered the driver was disqualified from driving.

A subsequent roadside drugs test proved positive and the driver was arrested.  Further samples were then taken at Cavan Garda Station and the driver was charged to appear in Court.  The car was also detained and taken off the road.
