A number of drink drivers were apprehended by Gardaí in Cavan over the bank holiday weekend. Cavan Roads Policing Unit detected the intoxicated drivers on roads throughout the county during the long St Brigid's weekend.
Over the same period, officers issued fixed charge penalty notices to drivers speeding on the N55 and N3 roads. Three motorists had their vehicles seized after it was established they were being driven without insurance.
