Dogs seized by Cavan County Council in July have been sent for rehoming.
The dogs in question were surrendered to the Cavan County Council dog warden on 18th July 2021 and an investigation is ongoing into animal welfare offences at Aghgegna.
The dogs were seized from Fianna Fáil councillor Craig Lovett’s father who claimed full ownership of the animals.
These dogs have since been sent to an animal rescue for re-homing and as this incident is the subject of an active Garda investigation, Cavan County Council had no further comment at this time.
