Monaghan County Council have prosecuted a dog owner in relation to worrying livestock. The individual failed to comply with the control of dogs act to prevent their dog from attacking sheep.
The offence occurred at the end of last February. One sheep was killed and 3 of the flock of 10 aborted their lambs due to the dog attack.
The owner pleaded guilty and was fined €500 plus legal fees and expenses of €1,122.5
