The story of Seán Quinn is to be told in a major documentary series to air on three consecutive nights on RTÉ television starting tomorrow night.
Quinn Country airs at 9.35 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The first two episodes are a hour long while the final episode of the documentary is a hour and 20 mins.
The documentary is the gripping inside story of Ireland's bankrupt billionaire, Sean Quinn, who went from rags to riches before he gambled it all on Anglo-Irish Bank shares.
The documentary is directed by journalist Trevor Birney who has worked on award winning documentarys like No Stone Unturned.
Trevor tells of how a millionaire by thirty, Quinn took on the Irish cement business in the 1980s and won.
The documentary series tells an extraordinary story. It is the story of how a farmer's son from Derrylin on the Fermanagh / Cavan border managed to build an empire from the limestone and shale-filled ground on which he was raised.
The well known Cavan man offered people thousands of jobs at a time when the dark shadows of mass unemployment was prevalent across the country.
The atmosphere in 'Quinn Country' turned very dark with the horrific abduction and attack on Kevin Lunney back in 2019.
The truly remarkable story of the man everyone said was too big to fail is also being published as a book that will be released on Thursday the 1st of December.
