A Do Not Consume Notice that has been in place in a Co Cavan for close to three weeks has been lifted.
Following consultation with the HSE, the warning notice issued to all water users served by the Bunnoe Group Water Supply Scheme has been lifted with immediate effect.
The water is now safe for use and can be used for drinking and food preparation.
People on the supply are advised that if their internal or domestic water system has been in general use throughout the period of the notice, that water supply can be used as normal.
If water systems have not been in use for the duration of the notice, consumers should ensure they flush out their systems by running their hot and cold taps for at least thirty minutes before resuming normal use of the water supply.
