Diversions remain in place due to 'serious' collision near Monaghan border

Diversions remain in place following a "serious" road traffic collision close to the Monaghan/Armagh border.

In a statement to Northern Sound, a PSNI spokesperson confirmed that the incident occurred earlier this morning on the Monaghan Road, Middletown.

According to updated reports, PSNI officers have continued their appeal for local motorists to avoid the area at this time and to seek an alternative route.

Diversions remain in place at the junction with the Madden Road and the Farnlay Road.
