Gardaí in Cavan stopped a driver who was disqualified from driving during a bank holiday road safety campaign.
Members of Cavan Roads Policing Unit conducted an oral fluid test for drugs on the driver which, the disqualified driver failed. They were arrested and blood samples taken for testing by the MBRS.
The driver was subsequently charged and bailed to a Cavan court date. An Garda Síochána reiterate their call for drivers to "please don't drive while intoxicated and when disqualified from holding a driving licence".
