The Tidy Towns group in Bailieborough has said there is 'disgust' in the town after the latest case of vandalism.
The group planted a new hedge and trees in November along a section of the Cavan road to run alongside a new footpath.
However, shortly afterwards the plants were stolen from where they had been planted.
After fundraising again to replace the hedging, last week it was found a number of plants had been ripped from the ground.
They have now been replanted by the group but it's not known if they will survive.
