There are calls for the vote on a proposed community centre in Magheracloone to be suspended.
A ballot is due to be taken next weekend, to approve plans to replace the centre which was lost in the 2018 subsidence.
An agreement on the proposed centre was reached by Magheracloone Community Centre representatives and Saint-Gobain last month.
As well as being on display in the local shop, an information pack on the proposal was sent to all homes in the area last week, to present the plans for the new centre.
However, some of those in the Drumgossett and Knocknacran area believe there wasn't enough consultation with them before a site was chosen.
Bernie Collins from the Residents Association says they are being hit once again.
A representative of the Magheracloone Community Centre group told Northern Sound News that full consultation was held with everyone in the community at every stage of the process, and the chosen site was one identified by Monaghan County Council as Magheracloone village and one that the community management committee and Community Centre trustees saw as the most suitable location for the new centre.
With regards to claims of there not being proper consultation, they say there was wide consultation to keep everyone up to date at every stage, and every house in the community received an information pack, which included a letter outlining the proposed vote, site plans and other details.
