The death has been announced of well-known local Priest Fr Fintan McKiernan.
Originally from Cross in west Cavan, he most recently served as Pastor Emeritus in Kildallan.
He also served as Curate in Glenfarne and Glencar parishes and as Parish Priest in Knockninny.

The Diocese of Kilmore has announced that the 79 year old passed away suddenly yesterday.
In a statement, the Diocese asked for prayers for Fr McKiernan.
His funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.
