Eire Og Gaa Club has been granted planning permission for further development at its grounds in Smithboro. Plans include a new all-weather walking track and associated fencing as well as artificial lighting and alterations to the existing site infrastructure.
The Club will carry out alterations to existing canopy over the spectator stand to south eastern side of the playing pitches; the relocation and extension of existing ball stop nets to the north eastern side of playing pitches; a new 1.8m high boundary walling and fencing; covered bicycle shelter; and alterations to the existing entrance.
Removable bollards will be installed, surface repair works will be carried out, and pedestrian crossings will be created. Works are expected to begin shortly.
