The Co Monaghan councillor says this is also an attack on the structures of our society and our democratic system.

A local councillor has expressed his disappointment over the sabotage and destruction of his local elections posters.

Cllr Seamus Coyle says he is greatly annoyed at what he has described as a personalised attack on him.

The Co Monaghan councillor says this is also an attack on the structures of our society and our democratic system. Cllr Coyle said not only has he had posters de-faced, some of his posters at various locations has been pulled down in recent days

The Fianna Fail Councillor says he has heard from elected colleges from around the country express their personal stories of intimidation and abuse resulting in them getting out of politics. Cllr Coyle says despite this attack, he is determined to continue to work for all the people and communities across County Monaghan.
