Design teams have been appointed for two new local schools.
Work is progressing on Scoil Mhuire in Rockcorry and Gaelscoil Éois in Clones.
The €4 million Clones school will replace the current building, located at the former Largy College site on the Roslea Road.
It will feature eight classrooms, two special education room and an exterior play space.
€2.7 million was announced in November for Scoil Mhuire after two decades of campaigning by the local community for a new school.
Students are currently housed in a building that's over 100 years old and a number of pre-fabs.
Minister Heather Humphreys welcomed the news today.
