Niamh's elderly father put up the four 8 x 4 posters on the approach roads into Monaghan Town on Thursday evening but, by they were gone by Friday.

This project is being provided by Cavan County Council, Cavan GAA and The Royal School.

Deputy Niamh Smyth who is also a member of the justice committee says the need for them has been heightened locally following an attack on a Garda in Cavan in recent weeks.

After meeting with the group, Deputy Smyth said they are "shovel ready" and any further delay would be deeply frustrating.
