The Department of Justice has again said it has no current plans to use the former Riverdale Hotel in Ballybay as a direct provision centre.
Speculation on social media in recent days claimed the hotel was being prepared for use as an accommodation centre.
The Department told Northern Sound News that it "does not have any current plans to use it".
However, in a statement it says a "public procurement process" will be carried out this year, through which new accommodation centres will be identified.
It follows similar speculation last November that the hotel was to be used as a direct provision centre, with a planned public meeting cancelled due to concerns over Covid-19.
It was said at the time that those opposed were concerned over a lack of services in the area.
