A Cavan primary school has received the greenlight from the Department of Education for an additional classroom. The application under the Additional Accommodation Scheme was approved for the extension at Kildallan National School.
In a statement issued to Northern Sound, Fianna Fail TD for Cavan-Monaghan, Deputy Brendan Smith described the announcement made by Minister Norma Foley as a "substantial investment" in the school's facilities.
Deputy Smith went on to praise school principal Pearse McKenna, the Board of Management and the Parents' Association for their efforts in the successful application and wished them "every success" in progressing this project which will enhance the school's accommodation.
Deputy Smith added that he will "continue" to support the Kildallan school community with their important work both now and into the future.
