Leaving Cert results will be issued on September 2nd this year, the State Exam Commission has confirmed.
Students who complete the Leaving Cert Applied exam will also receive their results on the day.
The SEC says a shortage of examiners, deferred exams and ensuring grades aren't lower than last year has made providing a date challenging.
