There has been a delay to the publication of the Bill to dismantle the Northern Ireland Protocol.
The DUP claimed it was due to be published today, however it's understood a disagreement within the British government will see it's publication postponed, possibly until next week.
It's understood that Prime Minister Boris Johnson hasn't made a decision on whether the law will immediately scrap parts of the Brexit trade deal, or give Ministers the power to do that at a later date.
The Taoiseach and EU have appealed for further negotiations.
However Fine Gael's European Affairs spokesperson Neale Richmond believes the British government is distracted.
"I fear at this stage that we are dealing with a British Government that is so obsessed with internal, political and legislative means that they are not paying attention to the European Union and the very clear words that are being spoken by the Taoiseach," he added.
"I don't know if this a negotiating tactic or something more local."
