There's been a decrease in the number of people in Cavan and Monaghan availing of the Pandemic Unemployment Payment for the second week in a row.
Department of Social Protection figures reveal that 6,960 people in Cavan received the payment this week, down from 7,100 the week previous.
There was a similar drop in Monaghan, with 6,458 people receiving the support, down from 6,605 the week before.
Nationally, 473,413 people are in receipt of the payment.
More than 61,000 people in the construction sector received PUP this week nationwide, while close to 111,000 in the accommodation and food service sector claimed the payment.
Almost €142 million in PUP weekly payments were paid into bank accounts this week.
