A decision on the construction of a phone mast in Rossmore Park is to be made before the end of the month.
Progress was halted this summer, when Cignal Infrastructure was ordered to respond to each objection made on the plans.
The telecommunications company is intending to build a 39 metre mobile and broadband tower in the Monaghan town forest.
It claimed that a mast was needed because the areas around the Coillte-owned land had been identified as coverage blackspots.
Permission was due to be decided in May, but had been postponed to allow the company submit additional information on the proposal.
23 submissions were received in objection to the plan, including from two local councillors, nearby businesses, residents of adjacent Traveller accommodation, the Friends of Rossmore Park group and a residents association representing 121 people.
Cignal was ordered to respond to each objection and to provide clarity on a number of other issues surrounding the build.
Monaghan County Council is to make a decision on the updated application by September 28th.
