The death of well known Kells auctioneer Oliver Usher has been announced.
Ushers Auction Rooms on John Street in the town of Kells has been one of Meath’s and the country’s longest established auction houses.
A native of Kilskyre, Oliver Usher had been trading in the antiques and fine arts business for over 40 years.
He also was known for many years experience in conducting auctions throughout the country from country house sales to farmyard, warehouse and factory clearances, and had built up a huge clientele.
Oliver will be laid to rest tomorrow in St. Colmcille's Cemetery, Kells.
