A Monaghan Senator is reminding parents of today's deadline for the Bus Éireann school transport payment. According to Senator Robbie Gallagher, the deadline for applying for school transport closes this evening. As result, he is reminding parents who have forgot to make the payment to do so before 5pm today. Payments must be submitted by for new applicants and also for pupils who have previously availed of school transport and require a seat on a service for the 24/25 school year. The Fianna Fail representative also reminded parents that even though your child may be entitled to school transport, if the payment is not made you will be ruled out. Once the portal closes tickets are not guaranteed and your child may not get a seat on the bus come September.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Senator Gallagher outlined a number ways as to how parents can meet today's deadline; "If parents haven't yet went onto the Bus Éireann website I would encourage them to do so before 5pm this evening. The link can be found via; https://www.buseireann.ie/inner.php?id=257 The website will talk you through the prices of ticket/tickets depending on the number of children you have . You will need your child's medical card details and then you can make the payment. It's understood that the website will be extremely busy this evening as this is the last day so I would encourage parents to avail of the telephone number which is 0818919910."
