Day two of vote counting kicks off in Threemilehouse

We’re back for day two of counting here in Threemilehouse. Last night we received the first count from all three municipal districts - Ballybay-Clones, Carrickmacross-Castleblayney, and Monaghan. Four councillors were elected on to Monaghan County Council following those three counts.

The successful candidates that topped the poll were Fine Gael’s Richard Truell, Sinn Féin’s Cathy Bennett, Fianna Fáil’s Seamus Coyle and Fianna Fáil’s PJ O’Hanlon.
