The latest search for the remains of teenager Columba McVeigh is moving towards its final stage.
The 19-year-old County Tyrone man was abducted, shot and secretly buried by the IRA in November 1975.
This is the sixth dig for his remains at Bragan Bog near Emyvale which began on the 3rd of October last year and was stalled due to bad weather conditions with the search recommencing in early April.
A delegation of members from the Oireachtas Committee for the Implementation of the Good Friday Agreement have visited the bog this afternoon where his remains are understood to be buried.
Columba is one of the "Disappeared" victims of the Troubles whose bodies have yet to be found.
The search is being carried out by investigators from the Independent Commission for the Location of Victims' Remains.
Local TD Deputy Brendan Smith was in attendance earlier as part of that delegation and he says search teams are coming to an end without finding Columba's remains.
He has appealed again today for anyone with information to come forward.
