Cully's Craft Bakery in Arva was crowned 'Best in Co Cavan' at this year's Blas na hÉireann, Irish Food Awards. The local business brought home a total of three awards at the national awards, which was held in Dingle last Friday. Cully's received a prestigious Gold award for their signature Plain Batch Loaf and also scooped up a Silver for their Sliced Batch Loaf. The Blas na hÉireann awards attracts over 10,000 visitors annually, all the big retailers are present.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Brian Cully said he was "delighted" with the win and thank local customers from the region for their continued support. "It's always nice to make the final stage but to pick up a few awards along the way is just brilliant," Brian explained. "Recognition like this assures us that we're doing something right and confirms that we're making a good quality product."
