The CSPCA is appealing for photo entries to find local pets and animals to feature in their 2021 calendar.
This year the organisation say they have lost a significant amount of money due to the Covdi-19 restrictions limiting fundraisers, and seeing their charity shop close.
While they acknowledge they sometimes get Government grant aid, the cost of veterinary fees, food, and spaying and neutering animals can be in excess of €85,000 euro.
They are calling people in the region to send them their favourite pictures of pets, farm animals, or wildlife to be in with a chance of winning the competition to feature on the front cover.
The closing date for entries is September 2nd and they can be sent by email to the CSPCA.
