Local figures released for driving test waiting times

The average waiting time for a driving test in the Northern Sound region this year was 19 and a half weeks.

According to the CSO, Monaghan had the highest average waiting time locally at 23 weeks.

This is up from an average of 21 weeks in 2023.

In Cavan, the waiting time is 16 weeks, a drop on last year's figure of 20 weeks.

The longest wait time in the country was Dun Laoghaire at 33 weeks on average.
