This region's Cruinniu na nOg events are getting underway this morning.
Due to the Covid-19 restrictions all workshops have been moved online this year on a dedicated YouTube channel, 'Cavan Monaghan Cruinniu na nOg'.
The day, organised by Creative Ireland, CMETC, and Cavan and Monaghan County Councils, encourages all young people from 0 - 18 to get creative and features a range of activities from music workshops, to storytelling, to drawing and animation.

It is beginning from 10 am this morning and will run until 4 pm.
Joanne Brennan is the Arts Education Officer for the CMETB, and says that this is a way to stop creative fatigue and encourage children to engage with the arts:
