A Crowdfunder page has been set up as a lasting legacy to Cavan's Niamh King who was tragically killed on her way home from work at a fun farm in Fermanagh last week.
Niamh, who was originally from Killeshandra was living in Newtownbutler and working at the Fermanagh Fun Farm in Lisbellaw. Last Wednesday, 13th December the 20-year-old was struck by a car on the Belfast Road between Enniskillen and Maguiresbridge, and tragically died at the scene. Her colleagues at the fun farm have taken to social media to speak of Niamh's deep love for the animals in her care, and about how she was a much-loved member of their team.
The Crowdfunder page set up in her memory is to raise money for her former workplace and also towards the cost of the church fees for her burial and a memorial. "Niamh would love nothing more than some new enclosures, housing and enrichment activities for the animals," one social media from the Fermanagh Fun Farm post states, "In fact one of the last pieces of work Niamh's did at the farm was write a wishlist ... on behalf of the small pets, living at the farm." The fundraising page, which has already collected over £4000, will remain open until January 12th.
