A Crossmaglen Man has taken on a challenge of a 548km walk from Malin Head to Mizen Head to raise funds and raise awareness around the great work that the Southern Area Hospice do day in day out.
Stephen Hughes is currently in Co Fermanagh today and hopes to reach Co Cavan tomorrow and then on to Leitrim and Longford with his final destination being Mizen Head.
This walk is very much in memory of his beloved dad who passed away last year and with his Dad having a great love for the local GAA team Crossmaglen Rangers and Stephen is wearing the clubs jersey on his travels.
He hopes to get as many photographs at all the local GAA clubs on route across the region.
Stephen is completing the walk in memory of his father Pat who died in July 2022.
Stephen hopes that people will accompany him on his journey over the coming days online and sponsor him through his Go Fund Me page with all funds raised going to the Southern Area Hospice.
