A Monaghan town-based cancer support group has launched its new patient transport service.
After a fundraising campaign, peer support group Crocus has today unveiled its new car that members can use when they need to travel for treatment.
The idea came after the scaling down of similar services, which left people needing to rely on the support of friends and family to take them to appointments in Dublin.
Martin McKenna is one of the volunteer drivers, and told Northern Sound that it's all about making someone's journey that bit easier.
