The HSE is advising that Covid vaccinations for children aged six months to 11 years will continued to be rolled out in Cavan-Monaghan.
The National Immunisation Advisory Committee (NIAC) strongly recommends vaccinations for children who have an underlying illness or live with someone who is at risk of severe illness if they get Covid-19.
It says the benefits of the vaccine for this group outweighs the risks.
The HSE highlighted that children who fall into any of these categories will need two doses of the vaccine for the best possible protection against the virus and will get their second dose eight weeks after the first dose.
This week, children's Covid-19 clinics will take place at the Cavan Monaghan HSE Community Vaccination Centre, St Davnet's Campus on Monday, the 2nd October when children aged between six months and four years can attend from 10 to 11am, and those aged five to 11 years will be seen between 11am and 12 noon.
