An ecumenical service to remember all those who died from Covid-19 will be held in Kingscourt on Friday.
The event begins at 2pm in the Market Square.
Cllr Clifford Kelly told a recent Cavan Co Council meeting that the service would provide an opportunity to remember those who died from the virus.
He also highlighted that it would serve to acknowledge the "trojan work" done by all frontline workers in the county throughout the pandemic.
A similar Ceremony of Remembrance and Reflection in Co Monaghan takes place on the same date at 11 am at St Mary's Hospital, Castleblayney.
The County Council says it's an opportunity to remember all those who have lost their lives during the pandemic and to pay tribute to everyone who has contributed to how we have faced the challenges together.
